Make every effort to repair the circulating water pipeline to ensure smooth production operation
On the afternoon of September 21st at 16:00, after overnight rush repairs, the circulating water leakage pipeline in the Tianqiao New Materials Factory was fully repaired and supplied with water. The chemical and powder workshops that were once shut down resumed normal production and operation.
On September 20th, there was an abnormal situation in the cooling tower of the Tianqiao New Materials Hydrogen Production Workshop where groundwater was continuously replenished but the water level did not rise. After receiving the report, the duty personnel extended the water supply pipeline and began to inspect. A major leak was found in the trench on the west side of the entrance of the powder making workshop. Considering that the circulating water pipeline directly affects the normal production of the chemical workshop and powder making workshop, Tianqiao New Materials immediately organized employees in the machine repair workshop to conduct overnight repairs and temporarily arranged for water supply pump shutdown and workshop shutdown. It is required to complete the repair task in the shortest possible time, while emphasizing the importance of ensuring safety and quality during the repair.
The machine repair workshop immediately launched emergency repairs, and the repair tasks were mainly undertaken by three maintenance employees, Sun Yu, Li Yi, and Wang Yang. They first used three Submersible pump to drain the accumulated water in the trench for 10 consecutive hours; Then, in the narrow trench, cut the severely corroded iron pipeline and prefabricate new pipelines. At about 1:00 a.m. on the 21st, the emergency repair operation was carried out. In view of the continuous seepage of water from the underground in the trench, the welding operation while pumping water violated the safety operation regulations. In order to ensure the safety of employees, the study decided to suspend the welding pipeline operation that night, continue the drainage operation of the trench Submersible pump, and then carry out the welding pipeline operation that morning.
Due to the pipeline being laid in the trench and close to the wall, the acid and alkali pungent odor makes it difficult to breathe, causing great inconvenience to employees during welding operations. They implement rotation operations every three to forty minutes. Even if the trench is covered with wooden boards and employees lie on the boards for welding operations, their backs are still muddy when rotated out. After a morning of emergency repairs, the pipeline welding operation was successfully completed. After water testing, the problem of pipeline leakage was properly resolved. At 16:00 pm on the 21st, the circulating pump started supplying water and production resumed normal operation.
This emergency repair work can be completed in a short period of time, reflecting the spirit of the maintenance staff of the overpass who understand the overall situation, consider the overall situation, and are not afraid of hardship, fatigue, and dedication. With their support for production, the new materials of the overpass will definitely successfully complete this year's production task.
